Ruth Smart
Development Director
She blooms. She laughs. She loves. Ruth is a singer who is passionate about making the arts more inclusive and more accessible. She is interested in embracing technology, personal interactions between artist and the audience, and diversity of body types, races, genders, and abilities to help build art together. Ruth actively looks for ways to cultivate our lives, our selves, and our communities to help build a loving environment in which people can create together. She is also terrified of being buried alive [but Uma Thurman has helped her cope with this fear (#KillBill2)].
“Isn’t the world a little more magical after the first snowfall? Did that man on the street look like the monster from your dream last night? The fantastic, the magical, the surprising--they’re always there. We just have to pay attention.” – Ruth Smart
