In June, we were honored to host our first fundraiser in support of our Inaugural Season. This was no simple money-grab, however. It was an invitation for artists across Chicago to join us in confronting a common acquaintance: fear. Once we put ourselves out there, several Chicagoan artists answered the call. Everyone’s response was slightly different, be it through song of tragedy or comedy in storytelling. Ensemble member Emma Ruth Ritter led the charge as hostess, while other ensemble members participated through performance. The raffle, free drinks with ticket purchase, and good company in the comfort of Rogers Park Social made for a perfect environment for fundraising and art making.
